PP: Just to clarify, if you don't have an Existing Traditional IRA, you will need to set one up as a shell for passing the money into a backdoor Roth IRA. Vanguard makes it very easy.

Google Backdoor Roth IRA. If you set up a new Traditional IRA or have an existing Traditional IRA, it really complicated doing a backdoor Roth.

Backdoor Roth IRA, that will at least shield $6K/year for you. Your husband can also do a Backdoor Roth for $6K/year.

Traditional IRA.

If you want the benefits of the Roth IRA, you can make your post tax contributions to the Traditional IRA and then do a tax-free Roth IRA conversion.

DH makes $160k with a 401k and 6% company match

I make $100k without any benefits. I've been saving in a Roth but our HHI crossed the threshold for that this year I believe. What is my best course of action for saving for retirement for me now?

I'm not getting a new job because I basically have the dream job for a mom of little kids- I work any 35 hours per week that I want from home and it's fairly low stress with an unlimited amount of flexibility and zero oversight.
