I had a dabbler. My instructions were to try whatever dc wanted but no giving up one pursuit until.another option was already in place. This had the effect of a long stint at something that I don't think was an original passion, but eventually grew into a strong interest and EC with awards.

So I have one kiddo who knows exactly what she likes and wants to do. It’s my other kid that I’m talking about. He dabbles but never commits. I’m looking for ideas for him to pursue and if one sticks, great, if not, we tried.

kinda hard to help because we don't know him - volunteering?

Besides grades and possibly test scores what type of outside activities/awards/etc stand out to college admissions personnel? Are the particular sports, instruments, languages, etc that help?
