Your 3.5 year old basically can't do HP.

+1 they age out of DW quickly, and it really is a gem!

I loved Dutch Wonderland but at age 7 my son was too tall for his favorite ride. There was still a lot to do, but that was a big disappointment. There is really not much for a 3.5 year old at Hershey, though.

I took my then little kid to DW on a weekday and it was perfect. The crowds were in the water section and we really had the rides and park to ourselves! Felt there was enough to do with a 10 year old re rides he'd never been on or wanted to ride several times. Enjoy!

Hershley Park seems a lot newer, card has zoo and extra fun things to do, abd dutch wonderland seems a bit dated and does not worth the ticket price. My kids have never been to any carnivals or get on any rides. So I know either could work for them. Kids are age 3.5 & newly 7.

If we go to dutch wonderland, this definitely would be only one time in lifetime thing. For Hershey park, we may visit more than one time since it suits teen age.

For kids that age 100 percent DW. Not even worth thinking about HP. DW is so so so much better for the littles. They’ll love it!

Definitely DW.
There’s enough fun the 7 year old won’t be bored.
There are several other things you can do in the area. A lot of people like to Strasburg railroad, and Cherry crest adventure Farms. I’m not a Railroad fan do we skipped it, but Cherry Crest was definitely fun!

7 is still great for DW especially if they’re a little unsure about rides still. Or even if they’re not there’s still plenty to do. I’d plan on HP or the other bigger parks when the younger kid is about 5.

My 4 and 7yos really enjoy Dutch Wonderland. They have some dive shows throughout the day that are fun to watch along with shows with the other characters. My kids enjoy being able to go on their favorite rides over and over again. It’s also not too overwhelming as the park is fairly small. There is a small water area/splash park as well.

The 3 year old won't be able to do much at Hershey. Dutch Wonderland is really great for little kids and I don't think your 7 year old will be bored unless he's a major thrill seeker.

Highly rec omens Dutch wonderland with kids that age and esp if it’s a one time thing. On a weekday you would literally walk onto any ride. It is small but more than enough for a day. Look for discounts online. Also do a search on the travel forum where this has been discussed at length.
