I rarely get migraines, but the one time I fasted until 1 pm I had an incapacitating migraine and had to lie down the rest of the day. I try to stop eating early in the day rather than forgoing breakfast, but I'm never going to do a crazy long fast.

Pushing back breakfast probably would work. Combine that with having a large coffee with a good .5-1 cup of milk in it at the time you nornally have breakfast, but push the actual
breakfast food back slowly toward linch.

Did you just ramp up slowly? If I decided to just skip breakfast today and not eat til lunch I would 100 percent have a migraine. I was thinking of trying to push back breakfast a little each day and make sure I’m not eating after dinner

I'm not able to do alternate day fasting, but I haven't had any issues with 16:8 or even 18:6. I do have coffee in the mornings though and end up drinking more water than usual, so that probably helps.

Me too! I have migraines and skipping meals or being hungry is a big trigger. For me, I have a large cup of coffee at breakfast with some high protein low carb milk. Then I make sure I eat minimum 20-30 grams of protein at lunch and dinner with more high protein snacks in between meals and after dinner. Snacks are 15 g or more. Works for me and do not have headaches as long as protein is high and meals are more or less on same schedule.

There are so many people (on here and in my real life) that love IF, I’ve been tempted to try it. But I have super severe migraines and getting over-hungry is one of my biggest triggers. How do you do it so as to not get headaches?
