You can pre-pay at a funeral home in today’s dollars for their services. Talk to the funeral home, and also ask how the money gets exchanged if the person ends up dying in another town and uses another funeral home. They have ways to work with this.

Any recommendations for where I can go to set one up for my parent in Maryland? I’m trying to get him qualified for Medicaid. Do I just go to a funeral home?
