I send all the grandmas, some of whom are quite wealthy, honey baked hams and they always are glad.

I personally prefer a small gift basket stuffed with tax loopholes.

I love the Harry and David Comice pears. For a gift I’d probably go with Goldbelly, or maybe Zabars — if I knew what they would like.

Diptique candle gift set

I don’t think Harry & David when I think of rich people gifts. But they’re usually fine.

I'm curious why? We love to both give and receive edible arrangement baskets.

They have a ton of preservatives in them.

I've always loved receiving their fruit baskets.

Don't send chocolate right now. A lot of places won't even do it because of the heat.

I agree with Jeni‘s. It’s the only thing we would eat that was sent to us. Harry and David is disgusting, we don’t eat processed pre-packed foods.

My MIL sends a lot of Harry & David and the quality is really hit or miss lately.

Zingerman’s for snacks or bread + oil/vinegar. The food explorer passport if you want to be over the top.
Wolfermans’s for brunch
American Spoon for jams to go with Wolferman’s if you want to be “extra”.
Jeni’s if you know they will be home since it’s frozen.
Cowgirl Creamery or Jasper Hill for cheese.

This place has the most incredible chocolates I’ve ever eaten. If you want something more specific or extravagant just call their store and they are happy to accommodate any requests. They have many more in store options than you see on their website so I’m sure they could make something spectacular.

We had a friend of a friend do something incredibly kind for us. I want to thank them with a nice gift I’d send in the mail. I don’t know these friends at all though, so have little personal information to go on.

Harry and David baskets? Are those still a thing?

(If you’re interested in the back story, we got Covid on vacation a long way from home and these friends of friends let us use their empty personal space to isolate. If they rented this space it would bring in thousands. There was nowhere else to go and it’s an incredibly generous thing)
