This was exactly my experience. 3 PGS normals - one live birth, one ectopic, one failed to implant.

If you really value having 2 kids, I’d have at least 3 before a transfer and if the first transfer doesn’t work, and you only have 2 left, I’d do another retrieval. Even best case scenario if your first transfer works, and if you have a vaginal birth, you’ll have to wait 6-12 months before you transfer again ( depending on your doctor). So at the earliest you might find out two years from now at 40 that your second embryo didn’t work and you need to do another retrieval. Not ideal at all.

I didn’t have luck until embryo #6. You just never know. I was your age and we had unexplained too. After two failed transfers I did another retrieval since I’d run out of embryos (transferred two at a time). It was maybe a two month wait between the last failed FET and the second retrieval. You could do FET(a) now with your two and go do another retrieval if need be without losing much time.

Do you want multiple kids. If only one I would say 2. If more at least 3.

My husband and I are trying to decide at what point to proceed with FET. I’m curious what considerations others had, in case we didn’t think of something. How many embryos did you feel comfortable with before proceeding with FET?

Our situation is that I’m 38 and he’s 36 and we have unexplained infertility. We’ve been trying for 3 years and I’ve had multiple miscarriages so we will be doing PGT-A testing. We were thinking of proceeding with FET once we’ve gotten at least 2 normal embryos (doctor said I have 50% chance of live birth per embryo). I don’t want to delay having kids anymore than I have to but we also want to have at least 2 kids. My response to stims was not great so I’m not sure many cycles I’ll need to do before I can get 2 embryos or more. But my response to stims 2-3 years later will be even worse.
