I don’t drink milk straight (and never have so this isn’t new), but I still use 2% milk in my coffee.

I drink milk in my coffee or tea. I don’t remember the last time I drank a glass of milk on its own, but I prefer dairy to plant based ‘milks’. Never occurred to me to be embarrassed.

OP totally agree! It's definitely like no one drinks milk anymore.

I switched to oat milk in coffee because I like it.

But I love cow's milk, too. Whole for me, baby.

But otherwise I do regular milk in my tea and I use it all the time when I cook. I also use whole milk and heavy cream ALL THE TIME when cooking and baking. I do try to buy from local, small dairies because factory farming is terrible. But that's a political stance, not a dietary one (also most non-dairy milks have environmental issues as well).

Nut milk is terrible for the environment too, there is really no winning there

I would like a fun beach read called Oat Milk Girls, about a woman who infiltrates the cool clique in her pilates class but keeps a deep, dark secret -- she drinks dairy.

I would if I could. I loved milk until I was age 50.

I drink cow's milk plenty, with no plans to change.

Idk man, I feel like lactose tolerance is a little bit shameful in 2022.

Well, you are not. I drink straight-up milk all the time and I have no plans to quit.

Maybe just think of yourself as the quirky dairy-drinker.

It’s genuinely kind of embarrassing to ask for whole or 2% in my latte in front of all the oat milk girls.
