I would call ypur eye doctor and see if this is a big deal. When it happened to me, it came out on its own. Does she have lots of extra contacts. Sometimes putting one in attracts the other one. But only do with doctor approval.

Is it stuck TO her eye? Like she can touch it, but can't pull it away from the eyeball?

Or did it slide way up under an eyelid to where she can't reach it?

Assuming the latter: have her hold her eyelid open with one hand (press eyelashes/lid up to eyebrow), then roll her eyes to look down, exposing the top side of the eyeball. The lens should come into view, out from under the lid. Place her finger on the contact lens - she might be able to feel it, or have someone watch and direct her. While holding her finger gently on the lens, start looking up, basically rolling the eyeball under the finger, if that makes sense. That should slide the lens back to its normal position, where she can get it out.

This is no big deal. Tell her to take a break from trying and then try again later. She’ll get it.

Here’s the trick. Put finger on outer eyelid corner of affected eye and gently pull outwards, so the eye pulls closed. Use other hand or other finger to gently rub the eyelid from the inner corner to the outer corner multiple times.

Typically this causes the contact to emerge.

When this happened to me, I called my boss. She said close your eye, and gently swipe down on your eyelid to try to nudge it downward. It worked.

This happened to me a few times. Sometimes they’ll finally work their way out while you’re sleeping.

They should have saline solutions in their first aid at the camp and she can wash her eye with it. That might a) get it out and b) relieve the discomfort

I just posted. Actually this is a good idea. Call their after hours line and ask what your kid should do.

Ugh. This has happened to me multiple times. I’ve gotten it out by rolling my eye around a lot until it rolls back down. But my ophthalmologist told me the next time it happens, to call her, even if it is the middle of the night. It’s better to have a professional do it. I think you can scratch your eye trying to do it yourself. I think I also gently pressed around on my eyelid, but I’m not sure that’s a good idea.

I’m sorry. That’s a miserable feeling.

It would be best if she could go to an ophthalmologist.

My DD is away at camp and her contact is stuck on her eye. She has tried rinsing it out with saline solution for a couple of hours now and can’t seem to get that to work. Her camp counselors aren’t much help and are sending her to the health center. She went to the house center and the people there don’t know anything about wearing contact lenses and don’t know what to advise her. Does anyone have any foolproof methods?
