Just flew back on United from Europe. Plenty of blankets but not enough pillows. Bring a sweatshirt and travel pillow, just to be safe.

BTW, United was awesome. No issues. friends who flew Lufthansa had luggage lost, connections missed.

If you paid for basic economy tickets, I would bet that your chances of landing pillows and blankets is fairly low. As one PP mentioned, folks who've already boarded sometimes help themselves to these amenities w/o a second thought.

GL!

Right, I've heard announcements to not remove them from the plane.

I bring a light one from home, we seem to have a few from Amazon laying around. I roll it up and put it in my bag.

We flew to Europe last month overnight. They had plenty of pillows and blankets.

They make you buy one for $10.00.

You need to bring your own to be sure. They’re passed out front to back. Last month our teenage kids, in row 30, did not get blankets, but we did, in row 23.

3 weeks ago, overnight flight to Europe on United had blankets, no pillows in economy. Return on code shared Lufthansa had both.

I was on a United red eye a few weeks ago and not every seat in economy had a blanket, and none had a pillow. I noticed that all the seats in economy plus had both. My guess is that I could have asked for one, but I had my own stuff so I didn't.

yes plenty of blankets. but check your seat when you sit down, there are def some blanket bandits* out there.

*blanket bandit: he who scoop up blankets as they enter the plane, because one isn't enough for their DIY basic economy travel pod (one from draping over the seat, two for burrito-ing the legs and arms while seated, and one for wearing as a hazmat cloak when using the bathroom.)

Even on flight where they have them, not guaranteed you will get one. You get a usable travel blanket on amazon for $10 or get a great one like the Gravel Layover for $100.

I bring my own, even in business.

We are flying in the cheapest seats on a United flight to Europe on an overnight flight soon. Do they still give out pillows and blankets? We will bring neck pillows but I may bring a blanket if not provided. TIA!
