Mesh masks work well for that. They're great if you wear glasses.

This is why I live in a free part of the country. Perfectly healthy, no masks, no covid tests, no vaccine.... I've been living this way all this time. Part of the problem is that people spend too much time inside, breathing stale air. Go outside in the sunshine. Hot sunshine is healing. Intelligence is how the strong survive. Good luck, OP. I would refuse to work at a place that required me to wear a mask.

Plenty of masks significantly reduce transmission.

Many masks do little to nothing. But please be accurate.

Yep. And the new scale is based on hospitalizations, not just cases. The new variant is more transmissible, and so many people just aren't even trying anymore. We are up to 400+ deaths a day from COVID, and people act like it's over.

Is that any different than past surges? Every time COVID numbers go up, they go up in the masked and vaccinated areas too. It's probable, I think, that they go up less than they would if we weren't as masked/vaccinated, but nothing we've done in Montgomery County has ever produced COVID numbers that weren't pretty high during these surges.

I received an email from covid actnow yesterday which moved Mont. co into the low category. I guess they use different standards.

Yes. So many people I know are traveling / flying and coming back with Covid. And then their kids are spreading Covid before they know they have it.

This new variant is much more transmissible, so if you take your mask off inside, or to eat on a plane, that's pretty much it.
