+1. If you are paying, have passes and it’s frowned upon consider yourselves lucky to find out before you build. Get out while you can.

It's fine if the HOA allows it and i don't see why they would not.

I'm curious, for those of you who maybe only own a lot that you haven't built on yet, do you use the neighborhood's amenities? Pool, tennis courts, workout facility, etc? We do pay HOA dues, which won't change once we build. If it's allowed, is it socially frowned upon?
