You eat rubbing alcohol and tell yourself it’s healthy?!? Don’t do this with thin skinned fruit at least!

LOL no, I wash it off.

There are so many recalls of produce and bagged lettuce etc., because they're eaten raw, that irregardless of COVID I will never stop doing this COVID-inspired step. Ever.

DP. Oh dear god please let this insane person be a troll.

Nope, not a troll. You can get ecoli, listeria or salmonella from your lettuce if you want to but I won't. Thank you, COVID.

Did…you think those peaches were previously untouched by human hands? How do you think they get picked? Transported to the sorting facility? Shipped to the store? Placed in the display?

Because big ag (along with big amazon et. al) won't let workers take bathroom breaks: https://www.sfgate.com/business/article/New-focus-on-field-sanitation-E-coli-2551035.php

No, this is gross behavior. People need to stop behaving like animals.

Yes you’re crazy. Covid isn’t food bourne, and doesn’t transmit easily from surfaces. Just wash your fruit and let me buy ripe peaches.

Last week at Whole Foods I saw a man going through all the peaches squeezing them for ripeness. I thought it was gross but that he was an outlier. Who goes around touching all the fruit in this day and age? Then today the same thing happened. A woman picked up, I kid you not, every single peach for a squeeze. It turned me off to buying any for myself. Am I crazy? I'm not even a germaphobe!
