One thing you might want to try is "prime the fuel pump". just turn the key to "on" a few times (but don't try to start the engine). you will notice the check engine light coming on, then turning off after a few seconds...then start.
It's nowhere near every time I start. I drive every day, usually multiple places per day, and it will happen a couple of times a week.
BUT it's not always first thing in the morning. Last time it occurred was in the parking lot of the grocery store, and it had started fine when I left my home, and at a prior errand before I got to the grocery store.
