A kid who is "Pre-dental or pre-medical professional" probably won't end up going to either dental school or med school. Regardless of ability, if the interest/drive isn't there, the kid probably will pick a different path. So pick a school where the kid will thrive now; get that right and "later" will take care of itself.

Temple? Not difficult admissions and they give merit. Just took my kid to orientation there and several “owl team” leaders said they were pre med, pre-dental or pre-podiatrist school.

VCU is an obvious choice for pre-health majors in Virginia.

Pre-dental or pre-medical professional.
Criteria:
-does not have to be Ivy or top echelon. While those are nice, I do not believe you need that to thrive or excel.
-That said, a solid education to prepare for dental school or one of the pre-health professions.
Bonus points (but not reqd):
-in state VA
-guaranteed admissions
We have some obv choices but am wondering what you all think?
Also what is your opinion on schools that don't SPECIFICALLY offer pre-dental/health professional paths (be it through major or offering specific counseling to prepare for those paths).
thanks.
