OP here. That is how it started with me -- I would modify shoulder work. Then even the modifications started bothering me, so I would just do bicep/tricep instead. Then even that started bothering me even more in the elbows! I'm just going to keep off the weights and see what my PT says if the pain doesn't diminish.

OP here. Same here re: the heavier lifting w/o pain. I switched to Barre3 and stopped the heavier lifting. I've tried to go back to regular lifting, but now my shoulders and elbows cause issues even with that. So frustrating.

Not from Barre3 but I developed tennis elbow from a light weight program on Peloton. It's the constant repetition, I think. I have done heavier lifting for 20 years without any issues.

I have being taking barre3 classes with light weights for a couple years or so now. More and more though, I am getting elbow and shoulder discomfort that morphs into pain. I know my form is good and I am pretty strong with visible muscle, but the repetition is maybe not great for joints? It seems like a number of the instructors also mention shoulder issues, but obviously I don't know if they had them prior to becoming Barre3 enthusiasts and instructors.

I've continued with classes but stopped weights for now.

Anyone else experience this?
