This and they should not be charging for windshield fluid.

Tell your husband that his inability in this regard is frowned upon by other men...
If this was a dealer, I recommend taking it back there so that they can find out what went wrong. Tell them your concern, that the technician *obviously* did not do the job according to requirements so you need someone else to do an inspection to find missed points. If they just offer to refill the windshield washer fluid, tell them it's not your job to find their missed work, and that they need to get someone to check since this work was obviously not completed as you paid for.
The most critical of these is the oil and filter - you can look at the filter to see if it's shiny and new, and the oil you can check by looking at the dip-stick, the oil should be a transparent brown color, and not dark chocolate.

I took car in for 60k mile appointment. I was really surprised by the cost - lesson learned - but my husband had booked the appointment and we’re traveling soon and needed it done so I couldn’t shop around / get other quotes.
Anyway, one of the line items on the invoice is windshield fluid. We went to use the fluid today and there is none. I’ll call the shop tomorrow, but I’d they didn’t do that how do I know what else I was charged for that they didn’t do?
