Subject: dave and buster at Rio
Go when they first open. Not busy at all. With a 3 year old you can give them some buttons to press or put them in one of the games where it looks like you are driving a car and they will probably be happy. Sometimes I do that with my 6 year old and she thinks she is actually playing, lol. I used to get sensory overload there but now i am used to it.
The food is meh but the kids menu should be fine. There are some fun sugary drinks the 6 year old might like (light up ice cubes, gummy worms, etc).

I've been with my 6 year old for about an hour or so on a rainy day, and we had a blast with some driving games and bowling. We did not eat there, because ew. I cannot imagine taking a 3 year old, even when it is not crowded. The noise and overstimulation is not from people--it is the noise and lights of the games. Unlike other places, the points you earn can actually get a kid something good. My son got a great stuffed animal, even just with the points we earned in an hour.

As the accompanying adult: be prepared for sensory-overload from all the bright flashing lights in an otherwise dark space, and loud droning music competing with random electric noises from the games.

It's been a couple years, but Weds used to be half price games day. We would go right when it opens and it wouldn't be very crowded.

Go early in the day to pre-5pm as there is a happy hour vibe/work outing in the early evening to evening hours
There aren’t a ton of 3yo level games (actually are there any? I was last at D&B in 2020 with a then 12 year old)

Family member give me a bunch of dave & buster cards and points. What age is appropriate to take my kid to be there? The closest one is at Rio, Gaithersburg. Is there any time less crowded/less noisy, and good for family to go?
My 6 year old will love it, but I am not sure if he is too young. My 3 year old probably will gets hyper going there. How's the food there? Any specials for games/food during the week for family outing there?
