I’m not a Wohelo girl but went to a very similar camp in ME with similar history and a bit of a rivalry but will heartily agree that it is a great place. Different but still awesome is Wyonegonic.

Pinecliffe is a bit out of my circle so I looked it up and I do like how they manage extra time for instruction during rest periods. My DD does a few activities at a high level and one of the compromises of camp is falling behind in them when she is away. Pinecliffe’s facilities are also very unusual- I loved seeing the historic building interiors!

Wohelo. My daughter adores going and it has everything we were looking for in a solid sleepaway camp.

I visited them both when we were looking. Pinecliffe is definitely more fancy camping: electricity in cabins, ceiling fans, full gymnastics facilities...it isn’t really a rustic old school camping experience, if that is what you want.

I really liked Wawenock and that was one of our top picks. It is quaint, rustic, solid programming and the owner is lovely. They had a great program for older campers too, which not all camps have.

We are considering these two girls camps in Maine. Any feedback on experiences with either would be greatly appreciated!
