To the PP, he is mostly bald so shaves his head but the dark/grey is always a “shadow” on his scalp, and his eyebrows have gotten a lot of grey in them - for sure these are some if the reasons he looks aged but he can’t do anything about these

A good moisturizer will go a long way! Like pp, I use CeraVe skin renewing night cream. I also use tretinoin on alternating evenings with a thicker Cetaphil cream; started 1 year or so ago. My skin looks better than it has in years - just brighter somehow.

Also, how’s his hair? And brows? Perhaps a new hair do and brow trim would help. My husband has wild curls that I love puffy, but he looks much younger when his hair is cut shorter.

There is nothing to do about the sagging. Except face life.

Your best option is to get him a good moisturizer he will use. My extremely low maintenance DH started using my Avene tolerance rich creme and loves it. Well hydrated skin looks less haggard

I like the Cerave Skin Renewing Night cream for myself, there were other posters recently who were also fans. They make some great body moisturizers and lotions in general.

Moisturizer at night, SPF in the AM (you can get a moisturizer and SPF in one, see link below) and a retinol product 1-2 times a week at night. This is what I use but anything with a .5 retinol would work.

Probably like many middle aged guys, DH has never taken care of his skin other than to wash it in the shower with whatever drugstore brand 3-in-1 product he is using, plus daily shaving also with drugstore shaving cream.

His appearance has aged a lot in the past 5ish years. His beard area and brows have a lot more grey (his regular hair is dark and thick/coarse), which make him look sallow, and his skin has gotten saggy looking and sallow.

He asked me for help looking less tired / aged - I think he is sick of questions in zoom meetings as to whether he is sick or tired.

I am pretty minimalist myself with skincare. Does anyone have suggestions for easy / not too expensive ways DH can start trying to look less haggard / aged. I’m thinking a cream or serum he can apply at night? Ideally it would help with skin sagging and even his complexion. He tends to sensitive and dry skin.

He does need to sleep better, and he drinks a ton of water and exercises regularly.
