Ours so far:

- finally made it to MLK library, huge hit
- Natural History museum, not first time but first time kid was old enough to get it
- Falling Water

Otherwise regular summer stuff for us: pool as often as we can, lots of baking of treats, fireworks, summer birthdays, library reading challenge

DP but your attitude on this will vary greatly depending on what your preschooler is like and what your relationship to camping is. For instance, if you never went camping as a kid you might find the thought of taking a kid daunting. And if your child is in the midst of major sleep/eating/emotional regulation challenges, it might seem logistically hard.

Also— they went and it worked out. Don’t be a jerk just because someone says “this seemed like it was going to be hard.”

Not bucket list stuff, just some highlights, bc we dont have a bucket list but:
crabbing, swim team for first time, Hershey Park, mini golfing.

Vacation is nice! Ours are still coming up. I was looking for more ideas too.

We took our 4 year old camping for the first time. There may have been a few melt downs from the kiddo and the parents, but otherwise it was a lot of fun. In my mind I made it something that was “impossible” to do with a preschooler, so it’s also a highlight for me for just having gotten over that mental hump and exposure to something new for the kid

We have an infant too so it’s been low key. Mostly playground and park and backyard.

Halfway through… what have been the highlights on your summer bucket list so far?

Some for us were strawberry/cherry/blueberry picking, paddle boats, firefly catching, making pies and ice cream, hosting cookouts.
