Last minute scramble to plan an indoors party after an outdoor rainout. Kids had fun with karaoke and slime making. Didn’t even get to nail painting as planned，

Party at an art place where everyone paints the same canvas. At the local place here the set-up is for 12 kids.

My 10 year old wanted her 4 best friends over. Luckily the moms got along well so we chatted/relaxed and ate cheese while the kids ran around the backyard doing whatever nonsense. Pizza, cake. Since it was so few kids I decided to do a nicer goodie bag. I actually asked for advice about that on this board a few months ago lol. I spent like $20 per kid and got a nice bento and plastic ice pack thing that goes with it.

DD's best friend did an escape room followed by similar party at home.

It was in California. There were enough kids who knew how to skate that they could help the kids who didn't know how. The kids who didn't know how had fun too.

What are your kid and her friends into? All girl guests? Girls and boys?

My daughter didn't really like the spa party she went to -- liked getting nails painted but not into the rest -- and she'd be bored with 2+ hours of horses. But she loves indoor climbing, ice rink, and adventure park parties.

Escape room at a place with certain room setups geared to kids was a blast, but it's difficult if there are too many kids. No more than 8 for sure.

Our daughter had her party here for 10th birthday.

Horse Farm in Nokesville. Includes cake, decorations, drinks, plates, tablecloth and lots of staff.

The girls groomed and played with miniature horses, hay ride, horseback riding. They (& the parents) loved it.

We brought pizza and ate first, then they played, then cakes.

Cost is for 8 kids. 45 for each additional kid

Plus they were just so awesome and kind. We were not rushed and went over time.

NP but we did this too, at the Iceplex in Arlington. You get assigned a helper to put on skates and there are helpers on the ice, but no one specifically assigned to them. Most of our girls knew at least how to make their way around the rink; wouldn't be as fun if everyone was a first time.

Sleepovers are also big at that age group, we had 5 girls and it was fun.

Whatever you do, make sure to write that you can’t accommodate siblings on the invite. State the obvious after reading the other thread.

And yes, ice skating is fun. DD went to a couple painting parties at those paint and sip places recently and they were also good.

Infused waters. Little tea like sandwiches. Cackle/ice cream.
