Why are you all trying to use it like rice? It's called Cauliflower rice because it's RICED, not because it's a rice substitute. Do what you want with it, but of course it is a pour substitute for actual rice.

It’s ok. I have used it to bulk up a meal like adding it to ground meat. But I prefer to use something like shredded cabbage instead - just tastes better to me.

I’ve never been able to get the bitter taste out without adding a lot of (unhealthy) stuff to it.

It's not really good most of the time. It's just passable.

Also, TJ's has a Mexican cauliflower rice in the freezer section that's pretty good.

As a direct substitute for rice? No. It's awful.

As a substitute for rice in things that contain rice, it can be ok. In soups, stews, etc. It's a good filler for things. But it doesn't give a "rice" impression at all.

Yes! We started using it after DH developed diabetes, but I don't consider it a hardship. I find it tasty!

It's good to have in the freezer. It's easy to make. We use it as a vegetable, not rice substitute. Fried with butter and a massive amount of spices -- mmm.

I mostly eat the frozen cooked stuff. It’s a decent rice substitute, especially good with Indian or Thai food.

I have never tried it but I like cauliflower.
I always see the raw shredded cauliflower at WF and wonder about it
