Sounds like doubling the size of your current bathroom would make your master the size of a shoe box. Why would you do that? Why not enlarge the bath but not double the size?

As long as you have enough space for the bed and clothes in the bedroom, go for the bigger bath.

I'd pick tiny bath, larger master, but I don't like baths so I wouldn't miss a tub.

If you both love baths, go for the bathroom reno. We did this and now I take a bath about 5 days a week. I looove my new bathtub!

The master fits the bed with about 8' of space between the foot of the bed and the en suite bathroom, which is just opposite the bed. The bathroom however is really tiny, 4x8. One person can barely turn around in it.

We can either renovate the tiny bathroom without changing the layout, or double the size of the bathroom to add a tub because DH and I both like baths and think a major reno would only be worth it if we can add a new functionality.

so that would make the bedroom pretty tight -- 4' at the foot of the bed. Storage is OK, there are two reach-in closets (along one side of the bed) with space for a tall dresser between them. WWYD?

Do the larger bathroom with the tub if you both like baths.

Can’t say without knowing existing and potential dimensions of the bedroom
