They're not resorts in the sense that they're all inclusive places that you don't leave. They just have pools, an arcade, and sometimes mini-golf.

We just got back from a long weekend in Williamsburg. Historic Powhatan has two and three bedroom units and lots of activities for the family. Up to you whether you want historic or amusement park but they have both.

My 4yo loved Busch gardens and didn’t show much interest in Williamsburg. But they are close so you can do both from one landing pad

Williamsburg is so boring. I vote Charlottesville.

Primland or Williamsburg.

We did an airbnb in Williamsburg and it was at a timeshare resort so we got to have pool time at the end of the day. There were tons of options for 3 bedroom places. In addition to Williamsburg we went to Jamestown (both the National Park and the Jamestown Experience) and both my kids preferred Jamestown to Williamsburg.

They also loved it when we stopped at Luray Caverns on our way back from Roanoke.

Williamsburg would be great.

Williamsburg, with Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens with Sesame Place.

Massanutten has lots of Airbnb rentals. Hikes, water park, mini golf, Luray Caverns is not too far.

Richmond is also nice for a weekend trip.

Richmond, Chincoteague or Cape Charles. There’s not all that much to do with kids in/around C’ville.

Colonial Williamsburg.

For a 5 year old, mom, and grandparents. We want to do outdoor things for covid reasons. Probably stay at Airbnbs. (So not looking for a resort where we do a lot of things at the resort.) I have thought of Charlottesville or Virginia Beach. I don’t really want to drive as far as Virginia Beach, though. What else can you think of? I’m coming from DC and grandparents are coming from central Virginia.
