SGF is a sealed process - there is no ability to contact the donor family.

Do most that donate ask to be part of child’s life or is it a sealed donation and child will not be able to find/meet the ones that donated?

Seems pretty explicitly religious. Glad to hear they aren’t as restrictive as some other orgs, though.

Join the FB group Parents Via Egg Donation (PVED). It's a great resource. The founder is very helpful if you message her directly. They help with embryo donation too.

The link PP posted does seem to be. Embryo Adoption as terminology as most often used by Christian groups -- more nondenominational organizations tend to use Embryo Donation (although it seems that org uses it too so who knows).

You can also look to match privately for this. There are several groups on Facebook for this. That's how we matched with a family who had gone through IVF, felt their family was complete, but had remaining embryos (PGT normal) and wanted another family to have the chance to use them. There are lawyers who will help with the process, but it's pretty straightforward. We did have to switch clinics, but my clinic in the DMV wouldn't accept outside embryos.

Dr. Gordon is a wonderful RE who used to be at Dominion Fertility but moved three or four years ago to a clinic in Knoxville that is big on embryo adoption - Southeastern Fertility.

DH and I have been unsuccessful in conceiving a second child naturally and for a variety of reasons would prefer to pursue embryo adoption rather than IVF or traditional adoption. I’ve been attempting to research online but am a little overwhelmed by the range of organizations/options. Any recommendations on reputable orgs that we should focus on? (We are in northern Virginia but willing to travel if necessary.)
