I tried EVERYTHING to get rid of fruit flies and nothing worked. Nothing. Someone on here posted last summer that there is some type of gnat around the DMV area that comes out in warm weather and doesn't have the same lures as a fruit fly. I looked closely and this is definitely what I had. They recommended this thing above and it did help a lot.
