A knit blazer like from St. John's might also work...and make it a little easier to get the fit right, as I suspect you will definitely need a fair amount of tailoring to make a blazer work for you. They retail for a lot, but you can usually find good deals at their outlet or Saks Off 5th.

I wish this came in more colors - I could use this blazer in a bright color, I have too much black/navy/gray.

Im the same size and body shape as you OP, J Crew in 10 Petite should work. Ann Taylor also in an 8P. I do prefer Vince and Theory, but finding the right fit changes depending on the style and then I sometimes have to get them tailored. Tailoring is a way of life at this size, body type.

I’m a DD at 5’3” but I am a 32DD- quite different than if you are a 34 or 36. Ann Taylor blazers in petite have always fit me best. They look clean and polished. Could be worth a try!

I also have a few from Donna Karan and Jones NY.

I am same height, 34G and you just need to shop around and probably be willing to do a little tailoring. They aren’t in every store, brand but they are definitely out there.

I miss What Not to Wear. I wish they'd do specials every once in a while when styles dramatically change. (I know the history and the story on the hosts etc - I know this will never happen).

I definitely remember locked and loaded! This is not a problem I have, but the idea is you need to preserve your waist while covering your breasts. Open jackets and less structured blazers often look too dowdy because they fall down from your breasts, creating a block. You want a blazer that buttons and that also nips in at the waist to show off the figure, rather then just creating a block in the middle of your body.


This is a problem for me too. Interested in any brand recommendations

you need a single breasted blazer with more than one button to work right on your body type.

you might need petite too?

I am a tall but DD and have had good luck with Jcrew and Ann Taylor for blazers.

I found one at Macys (Calvin Klein) that is short and has some stretch. That really helped with my wide shoulders.

I’m a woman working in a professional environment, and I would like to wear a blazer! I’ve has a couple over the years but feel like they just don’t look right on me; I’m 5’3 with large breasts (DD) and pronounced/strong shoulders, with a boxy/short waist. I’m normally a size 6/8. Any recommendations?
