Bethesda is a nightmare. There are hardly any programs for kids which was a huge factor for us joining a club. The events are lacking and each year the quality of the major club events get worse. The summer camp is a joke compared to other clubs in the area. They've hemorrhaged all of their senior staff over the last few years and the staff that are remaining are miserable to work with. The only plus at this point is that majority of the members we have met are friendly and the food is great. Wish we would have stuck it out on the waitlist of another club

All Kenwood families I know are very nice. It would be our first choice for sure. We have been asked to apply in the past but the timing was not right. How long is the process to join and what is the process?

Families that belong there are quite nice. The 3 I know all attended Ivies and are quite down to earth.

I think they are renovating the fitness club. But I think the facilities are nice. I’ve been frequently as a guest.

New money. Diverse. Nice facilities. Good golf course but inferior to Congressional up the road. Lower initiation fee than some other clubs but more expensive per year (with other dues, minimums). Easier to get into than any of the more prestigious Cs (requires only 2 recommendations).

Lots of young people, lots of great programs and events for families. It has a party scene. Facilities are great, especially the bars, tennis and pools. The golf practice area is lacking but the course is nice. If golf is your priority, look at congressional, woodmont or TPC. If tennis or social activities are your priorities, then BCC is a great choice.

Joining was $30K for non golf, $60 with golf a few years ago.

Maybe, but its the only club with a sizeable number of members of color. Which ranks if pretty damn high for me.
