I cannot relate to some people's valuation of cars. These are all so ugly. The bigger, the uglier.

I just spent that much on my child's instrument, so I'm not poor. But a car would have to be much more streamlined and elegant for me to pay such a sum.

This looks utilitarian and unnecessarily gas-guzzling to me; I'm not impressed at all and do not get a "luxury" vibe.

If I had a third kid and a bigger budget, I'd consider it even if its not a particularly nice looking car.

I could see this SUV in white color and in Fla neighborhoods. That front grille is a bit much, of course some might like that look.

“I know little about cars” is an understatement.

'I don't consider that a luxury SUV.

Yes, it's a luxury SUV. GMC vehicles don't come cheap, especially the fully loaded Denali's. If I was a multi-millionaire, and money was no object, this type of SUV would be the type of vehicle that I would buy. I like to sit high up and see the road ahead of me. No low down Ferrari's or Lamborghini's for me.

I happen to know those are expensive, so I'd look at the name and wouldn't be surprised at the price.

But when I think luxury I generally think nice-looking and this looks ugly AF to me. There is no accounting for taste, of course, so maybe I'm the weirdo.

That's as big as a minivan. A clanky minivan with a big SUV aesthetic. On looks alone, it does not look luxury. Too clanky.

Trucks are expensive. But not all expensive things are luxury items. SIL SUV looks expensive but not luxurious

An X5 with leather starts at 62k, and X7 starts at 78k. A Tahoe is a luxury SUV aimed at buyers who prefer to purchase from American manufactures and they are priced similarly to other luxury SUVs.

Cars (in this case, SUVs), are more expensive than they used to be.

But yeah, $80k sounds right to buy new. Denali is the “high end” package. The base Yukon is about $55k new.

They got a really good deal if they only paid 80k for it. Denalis are 70k before you even start to add options let alone delivery/dealer markups

My sister-in-law just got this SUV. It is called a GMC Yukon Denali. I was shocked when they told me they paid just over $80,000 for it. I know little about cars but it looks like a Tahoe to me. It was comfortable but that seems super expensive for a truck I personally would never assume costs that much and lacks luxury cachet.
