Most children ask such things. They have a knack for it. Adults usually teach them not to comment about others' appearance, unless it's a medical emergency. Pink is fine, blue is not!

I hardly ever wear make-up, least of all when it's hot and humid - blaaargh. Lily is so glaringly ugly. But I do like wearing little bikinis: they fit my long torso better, and I can adjust the two pieces for my pear shape

Blonde mama at the pool today wearing a full face of makeup including bright pink makeup (my kids were like "mommy, why does that lady have hot pink lips? that is so weird"), a precious little bikini, kids in matching Lilly, and both a sunhat and sunglasses all while sitting in the shade. What is the point? Why even bother? This is the suburbs lady, you're not at Millie's anymore.
