Funny how every school system (except the one the speaker is in be it MCPS, or APS or ACPS) suddenly became the worst one. Almost like there is some other unrest under-girding all of the complaints about public schooling….

FCPS is not what it used to be. I have no faith in the future either given our current school board.

I agree.

His racist actions, along with the blatantly racist comments and actions of our current school board, have gone completely unpunished.

They have not even apologized!

Where does he say it was a disaster? Don’t see that at all. Nice try, troll.

Didn’t really see that at all in what he said. He said we could have improved communication. Lol.

I didn’t see that. I saw him reflecting. It was neutral. Some things could have been better and some things were positive like around conversation of mental health. I think unrealistic expectations and stress of pandemic impacted most superintendents’ legacies in the country. Was a lose-lose. Hard for anyone to feel great with all the challenges.

Right, that’s what I said. I didn’t see him admitting it was a disaster like OP said.

Covid was actually the best thing that happened for Brabrand because it gave him an excuse for all his operating failures when it came to IT, Facilities, Special Education, and Academics. And he never would have been able to pull off his half-assed scheme to remake TJ if he hadn’t been able to conduct meetings remotely in sessions that parents and other members of the public could not attend in person.
