Another thing to consider is middle school.
I think that Heather Hills kids all go to Tasker and GW kids are split between Kenmoor and Greenbelt MS TAG programs.

My son went to Glenarden Woods, we were very happy there. I have a longtime acquaintance that sent her kids to Heather Hills. Over the years we've chatted about the schools and our experiences when we've crossed paths (we don't have much else other than kids in the same sport in common, so we've talked a good bit about it) and she was very happy with Heather Hills. I can't think of any specifics, but when we were comparing notes it felt like the schools were very similar.
I can tell you that Glenarden Woods is in a new building (2017 was the first year I think), and they got a new principal and a new TAG coordinator over the past couple years and they're both great in my experience. I loved the teachers and it was a great fit for my son. The downside is that it's not a neighborhood school, and it's a pain to get there unless you live very close, and there's not a great parent community because of that.

I have had two of my children attend GWES. Class sizes were close to 20, nearly all teachers are strong and have been there for many years. I would definitely recommend GWES.

I am new to the area and I am trying to figure out the difference between Glenarden Woods and Heather Hills. I know that they are both tag schools. Is there a difference in student teacher ratio, teacher quality, programming? Does anyone have any recent experience with either school in Prince Georges County?
