What do you think? Effective strategy? Pointless?
I'll admit, I never thought about this until I started reading the posts and reasons. I'm sad I missed the opportunity to vote last week in VA during the GOP primary.
So far, everything I'm seeing makes sense. If it's an open primary, vote for the least toxic, least MAGA-centric GOP candidate. Pick a candidate who will likely be defeated by the Democratic candidate. Stack the deck, so to say, I suppose.
A few people said they even do this for their state's closed primaries. They are registered GOP voters to help influence the candidate selected but then vote straight Democratic tickets after the primaries.
