Lol please alert my husband to the rule that men don’t complain about this.

It switches. Savor it, because it means you get a break from some of the hands-on stuff!

I don't know what to tell you. My first has a very strong preference for me (mom) and has never had a dad phase --- he is now 8 years old. Our second preferred dad as a baby and toddler and I jumped for joy. I was happy for them AND it gave me a break.

Oh honey, enjoy the very small break. My two old recently has decided I am the only acceptable person in her life and has to be locked out of the bathroom otherwise she tries to crawl on my lap while I’m on the toilet. When you’re pooping and have a small human sitting on you, you’ll be totally fine with them going to their dad for some things.

it's a mild preference but when she's upset that's who she wants to be comforted by. i'm guessing its because he's on leave now and because i get pretty consumed in taking care of somewhat demanding toddler on the weekends, but i'm feeling sad about it! probably i'm being silly and i should be happy my husband is bonded well with the baby but i feel sort of sad that despite nursing the baby around the clock she's still preferring him. this too shall pass?
