Started with cold green garlic soup with olive oil crema on top.
Next up, a chicken-stewed tomato-oyster mushroom-rice casserole with crushed Lays on top for crunch -- a weird but sultry combo of savory, salt, crunch.
For dessert, PEANUT BRITTLE.

Oh yeah. Oh yeah. I am a rock star tonight.

What did your guests say?

Well, my "guests" were my family. My MIL ate nothing but drank five goblets of wine. My FIL devoured it and my husband seemed really happy.

NP. Five…goblets?

Yes, like a medieval chalice of red wine.

If you had medieval chalices in your house for your MIL you were a rockstar even before this fantastic menu.

Do you have a recipe for the chicken dish?

Just want to say you are a rock star OP. That sounds very delicious, way to channel your stress into something awesome, and goblet is a fabulous choice of word, too. I think I know exactly what you meant- I was imagining the 9 oz Bordeaux glasses. But maybe you meant some over fancy chalice, in which case do share.

You should feel very satisfied. Have a great rest of the night.
