Ask your kid for their opinion - they are not all the same. My younger DC didn't want to do more than 2 formal college visits in total, much less 3 or 4 in one day.

This gives time to reflect and digest the college you just visited. Although sometimes it is a real fast 'NO' within like 15 min

We did two per day on several days in a row for spring break and we were all fried. If I could do it over, each day would be one college tour and one pure “let’s get a feel for this area” with sightseeing and fun places to eat.

The most we could ever do was two per day. Most were one per day due to driving distance between them.

We just did a college tour and the official tour lasted two hours; however, we also visited the school (within the college) where my child wants to study, which lasted another hour or so.

Presentation plus tour, 2 per day, onemorning, one afternoon, (Boston University + Tufts).

We did the Boston area in 3 days, 2 each day, and thankfully, it was NOT our first tours (6-12 maybe?), or my head would have exploded! Kid at that point took notes, asked questions, and was able to rule out 3 from the visit (will not apply to those 3).

2 tours and a drive through at most (ie: tour Amherst & Smith or Smith and Mt Holyoke, drive through UMass or Hampshire).

IF you are going over the summer, I have found that several are only offering 1 tour per day and at the schools my child is looking at, they were all at 9:00. So we can. only do one in a day.

2 per day max if they’re close (eg: American University and George Washington University on the same day), 1 per day is more comfortable.

It would be fairly challenging to make the schedule work for more than 2, so 2 is max.

But 1/day is much more tolerable, and ideally no more than 3 or 4 over the course of a college visit trip.

Full tour and info session ? 2 per day was our max.
