There are many variables beyond simply paying MSRP. Dealer add-ons, dealer markup on financing (buy rate), trade-in valuation, F&I products. The deck is usually stacked against you one way or the other.

No personal experience, but I recall on another thread someone posted that Jack Taylor Toyota in Alexandria had committed to selling at MSRP.

We bought a Subaru at MSRP from Farrish Subaru in Fairfax. We had to order the car though, and it took about four months to come in.

Yeah. Do NOT pay over MSRP on anything.

Seriously unless you’re trying to find a niche high end pickup sport package or something like that (or super high end sports car etc which always require a premium) you don’t need to go above MSRP. These are the dealers trying to capitalize on perceived chaos; they’re scumbags and you should also remember it when things normalize. Those are not the people you want to deal with.

Fitzgerald is selling at MSRP. They have many dealerships. I got a Hyundai from them but also went to their Toyota dealership in Gaithersburg.

For those of you who recently purchased a new car at MSRP, where did you get it and what model? I'm in MoCo and looking for a Toyota, a Honda, or a Subaru. TIA
