I am 40, 5'2 and weigh 110 +/-. My stomach is flat due to genetics (60%), diet (25%), and exercise (15%). One child.

Most days I have only coffee at breakfast because I am not hungry yet, so I'm a natural IFer. I usually have a big, late, healthy lunch, like a giant salad or soup. I avoid dairy because my stomach doesn't like it and it makes me feel bloated. I am mostly vegetarian and love sweets and do not restrict what I eat.

My job involves sitting at a computer all day, but I try to take walks and jogs. At home I have a giant exercise ball and love doing sit-ups & other core exercises on it while otherwise being lazy and watching TV or listening to podcasts. If I am feeling motivated, I also do some free weight lifting at home.

I’m similar on the diet front above. I’m heavier (125) and shorter (5’0”) but part of that is due to having a verrrrrry hourglass shaped body. Stomach is flat, could be smaller but after two kids it’s ~27 or 28 inches (used to be 26, which can now only be achieved through starvation). I wish I was lighter and had smaller thighs and waist, but try to just feel good about being active and in a healthy weight range.

I’m 47 and have had three kids. I weigh between 115 and 120 at 5’3- very athletic body type and flat stomach. Genetics and just always being an athlete. I do daily CorePower and am active. I eat what I want but don’t drink alcohol. That is probably the biggest factor in easily controlling my weight and being healthier in general.

I do not really watch or think about what I eat. In the morning I usually have a big cup of coffee and a bowl of oatmeal. Lunch is a turkey sandwich or a salad, that sort of thing. Dinner yesterday was pasta with shrimp, today we are having tacos, tomorrow probably veggie burgers. I don’t really snack and we rarely eat out, usually cook at home.

I could have written this post, but two big cups of coffee.

I don’t think height has anything to do with it. Body type also plays a part. Im mid 40s, 5”2 but pear shaped. My arms, back and stomach are very toned. My butt and thighs are proportionally larger though I work out 3-4 times a week (interval strength training, yoga, daily walks).

When I was like that, before I had my second kid at age 30, I was 5’2, 120, worked out most days per week, and my meals were your basic protein/vegetable/complex carb thing. I never denied myself dessert and never went hungry. I was basically the perfect intuitive eater.

I weigh more now and honestly I think it’s because I feel more body shame so I think about food more, and it has more “power” over me. But then the stomach could also be my uterus.

5'2", 112 lbs, flat stomach. I work out in some way every day--strength training, cardio, or yoga. I generally don't eat breakfast, have either leftovers or a sandwich, chips, and a veggie for lunch, and dinner is anything I want. I rarely snack, but when I do it is usually a piece of fruit or a small piece of chocolate. I drink about 10 drinks per week--usually wine, sometimes a cocktail, never beer. Ice cream twice a week.

My friend who fits your description has a flat stomach. She is sporty, very underweight, was pregnant once.

I am 5'4", BMI 21, and when I relax my tummy, I look pregnant. All the (otherwise slim) women in my family get like this in middle age. My tummy was ginormous for my second pregnancy, so there's a lot of saggy skin. Yet even in my 20s, before that second pregnancy, when I was exercising like crazy, had a BMI of 18 and a 5 pack, I couldn't get rid of a little pooch in my lower belly. My mother is skeletal and has a belly. We have no visible digestive issues that we know of. Some of us are sporty, some of us are not. Same belly.

I always had a flat stomach but I’ve always worked on it. I do daily core work and other weight training. I eat a fairly balanced diet. I had vaginal births so that may have helped. My waist is 26”.

My stomach is flat but I have stretch marks from having 2 babies, so there is a pooch. But I am 5'2 and 130 pounds.

I wouldn’t call my stomach flat, but it doesn’t show in clothes. 5’0, 95 pounds.

Breakfast: Frittata with broccoli, Trader Joe’s Unexpected Cheddar and Trader Joe’s frozen potatoes with peppers and onions. (I meal prep this and eat throughout the week or from freezer.)

Lunch: My personal “pan Asian chicken wrap”: shredded rotisserie chicken, gojuchang-honey cucumbers, lettuce/ bagged mixed salad tossed with <1 tbsp peanut dressing, whole wheat lavash wrap (I like Joseph’s from Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s whole wheat lavash). Spinach side salad, fruit.

Afternoon snack: apricots and grapes or banana. If I’m really low on energy, nonfat greek yogurt (for protein) with <1tbsp fruit preserves (for flavor and sugar boost)

Dinner: one serving Carba-Nada fusilli pasta, bolognese-style sauce from canned tomatoes with turkey sausage and 96% fat free ground beef + veggies (mushrooms, onions, peppers, minced spinach), side of asparagus and tomato salad.

I learned how to build menus from Weight Watchers. It’s a great program that totally changed the way I eat.
