+1. Same. Never a photo of the kids and rarely do I post anything personal about DH or myself. I use social media for interests and political sharing of information.

I dislike political posts. Other than that, why do you care? Let everyone do their own thing.

I think no more than a few times a month is fine. It’s concerning when I see parents not spending time with their kids or being in the moment at an event because they’re posting about it.

+1 I post when I have something to share (a couple times a day to once a year or so depending on the platform/purpose of the account). I don’t care what others do.

No more than five per day, unless a special occasion. One for each meal, then one in the morning and a fifth in the afternoon.

Post however much you want. Each platform has the built-in functions that others can use to filter/block/hide what they don't want to see. Easy.

I, like most parents my age, use Instagram (with auto post to Facebook) as a way to NOT have to send an individual photo to 9 different family members. Or to keep myself from being in yet another group chat to distribute a photo.

The Olds in the family love photos. Tossing a bunch up on IG that will post to my Facebook wall (which, I hardly ever use Facebook) keeps them happy. They have zero issues seeing the same type of photos over and over... Mikey at a soccer tournament this weekend, different tournament next week, different tournament the next weekend, etc.

When I see others my age posting the same types of photos over and over, I think the same: they're making The Olds in their family happy.

My post are for ME and my haters. I post once a day. I actually started getting paid a few bucks (Instagram Reels) to do this. Not a bad deal to do what I love anyway .

My posts depend on how much is going on. We just had a big child milestone birthday, another child graduated, DH birthday and today is fathers day. So I’ve probably posted 5-6 times in the last few weeks. But honestly I do it for me. I like using Facebook as a memory keeper and getting the daily memory reminders from posts that day in past years. I could care less how many likes my posts get.

Who cares? Look at the posts you like and skip the rest.

Some family members post way too much - practically every other day. A couple times a month is enough.

I have political posts and people who try to write philosophical thoughts attempting to look really smart.

Some of the long overly sappy posts dedicated to spouses sometimes annoy me when I know the guy is d@#k.

One of the daycare parents posts practically every bowel movement on FB. I wonder what her kids will think of this later.

Post what and when you want. Let your friends do the same.

I usually post 1-3x per month. I have 3 kids. I post birthdays (not parties just usually our family with cake), milestones, vacations and occasional outings like if we went apple picking or checked out some new ice cream spot.

What type of posts annoy you the most?

I have some friends that post everything, like multiple posts for soccer, swim, tennis, etc. I don’t really mind them but they are literally the exact same post over and over again for YEARS.

I guess we also post similar boring pictures. The same family with different backgrounds.
