Eight days is a long time. And 4.5 months is still little. You may feel differently about leaving baby when baby is born.

Being baby with you or delay the trip.

Can you travel with your newborn? We are taking our 3 month old on an international trip - or hope to at the moment. They are easier to travel with that young. Leaving a young infant at that age with a stranger isn’t ideal unless there’s some emergency. You will probably not even want to part with them. They are so vulnerable.

OP here: Any other options? Seems like there are traveling nannys, but so expensive...

Daycares will be a no.

Highly unlikely you will find a nanny for that.

Welcome to parenthood. The baby comes with you now for a week long vacation.

No. You don’t leave a 4.5 month old baby without one parent.

As a first-time parents-to-be (in 2 months), everything is so new. Please accept my apologies for the rookie question, but here it is:
We're considering taking an 8-day vacation when our newborn will be 4.5 months. Ideally, we wouldn't take the baby with us. Is there such thing as a multi-day daycare or multi-day 24/7 nanny, etc?

Note: We don't have any family members, so that's not an option unfortunately.
