This may be a stupid question. If I am register as a democrat, can I vote Republican? I do not like Elrich and will not vote for him. I would vote for. Hogan like Republican but not a trump like Republican or even a Pence like Republican.

“This just in, Montgomery county virtue signalers would rather vote for old white men than a moderate black man”

Are you the anti-Elrich poster who regularly posts screeds about him?

I'm happy with Elrich, thank you very much.

None of the people running Montgomery County ever hid their agendas from the voters. You all got a “Marxism-Elrichism or whatever Bolivarian Revolution” because that’s what you voted for. Damn straight I will be voting for something different.

With that said, there is no chance at all that anyone with an R next to their name can win in MoCo. Zero chance.

Perhaps only if the D candidate was in jail pending trial for something heinous would it even be conceivable.

All of this. I follow local politics very closely. The choices are Elrich and Blair. Reimer will not outpace either at this point.

Whoever wins the D primary will win the general. Go ahead and vote R if you want, but it won't matter at all and I doubt it will happen in large enough numbers to make any sort of statement.

YES. Elrich only beat Blair last time by 77 or so votes.

Riemer doesn't have a chance. People who are switching party affiliation to vote in the democratic primary are independents, and they are doing it solely to vote for Blair. That doesn't get counted in polls of likely Democratic voters, though, who are Dems who voted in the past two elections.

This is between Blair and Elrich. But I can't say how close or how far apart they will be.

Yes, Sully is relatively moderate, compared to what the Republicans generally put forward in this county (Ficker). And he won't have a lot of power given a Democratic Council.

Elrich is such a horrible manager. There is no way I will vote for him again (and I did vote for him the first time).

I’m voting Blair in the primary, but I will absolutely vote for Elrich if he wins the primary.

If David Blair doesn’t win the Montgomery County executive primary, would you vote for Reardon Sullivan? Could he win? Is he a Hogan Republican or a Crazy Republican? Even if Sully is a Maga Republican, would you consider voting for him anyway to balance the all D council, and at the very least send a harsh warning to the Dems nationwide that they better get their act together and move to the center? I’d strongly consider, if Blair doesn’t win, voting R just to send a message that MoCo doesn’t need to be a testing ground for Marxism-Elrichism or whatever Bolivarian Revolution he is trying to achieve.
