Most of the NB kids I know wear board shorts/rash guards in their preferred color/pattern/brand. It might make your child more comfortable to shop online, order a bunch or options, and then have you return whatever you don't need

I would think a target sports bra top (they sell separates) from the womens section and then rash guard and board shorts from the men or boys section might work. Although target sometimes only carry rash guards in kids sizes. But they have a good selection and unisex fitting rooms so I would just start at your local target.

Rash guard and board shorts sounds perfect. We’ll take a trip to lands end—any other suggestions of brick and motor stores? (I don’t see any Title 9 stores in the region—am located in Rockville).

You could try Title 9 - they have really sporty swimwear for women, so some of the shirts/tops would not be gendered

I have a nibling who wears a unisex rashguard, board shorts, and a bikini top that looks and functions like a sports bra. I do not know if there are binders that work in the water.

I am pretty sure they are from lands end.

Apologies ahead of time if I'm not asking the right question...my child is non-binary and recently told us that they want us to use the pronouns they/them. They need swim wear; does anybody have suggestions about where to shop? I don't think my child has something specific in mind, but I don't know where best to start. Generally they wear all black, and sometimes wear a binder. Any advice would be helpful. I'd love to have extensive discussions about what would make them comfortable and happy but I usually get shrugs as a response to any question.
