No issue for me. They should not have to come back a year later to enjoy a graduation.

OP, do you have nothing better to do than keep track of other kids? Maybe a giant asterisk on their mortarboard and in the program so everyone knows?

What’s your angle, here?

Why do you care, OP? Do you think it somehow dilutes your kid's achievement? News flash: it doesn't.

Why do you care so much? What's the real problem?

I walked in graduation for my Ph.D. then finished the dissertation over the summer. Sorry to offend you.

That's pretty standard in most public high schools.

It's an especially odd complaint after all the pandemic disruptions.

Seriously, OP, you need to chill out. What do you think is more likely to get those kids to graduate -- allowing them to walk with the classmates they've been with forever, or treating them as outcasts? If they don't actually finish up in the summer and don't qualify for the diploma, guess what? The walking didn't matter.

+1

OP what an odd thing to be worked up about!

What is the problem with this and how does it affect you?

Did you know that summer school graduates are allowed to WALK in the real graduation? I am not too happy about that, and of course APS will do that but it doesn't seem right.
