I tend to read multiple books at the same time though (and not finish ones that don't interest me).

+1 You'll probably be too far into Book A to take on vacation, so if you start Book B on Saturday and like it, take that one with you.

Start A and then when B cones out, decide what you want to do.

There have been times I breathlessly awaited a sequel, only to find I’d forgotten more than I thought and had to revisit the early books. At worst, you can be enjoying A and it will get you immersed in the world and you can switch to B when it comes out. If you decide you want to finish A before B, you’ll have a head start.

I think it’s two different series?

What a weird collection of options. Of course finish book 3 before book four comes out.

Preorder book 4 so it will download to your device when it's available. Start 3 tonight, finish it when you finish it (on the plane? On vacation?), then start book 4.

I couldn’t read the books out of order, so I’d start A and bring B with me to read on vacation. But that’s just me.

Can't you just read both books in parallel? In your shoes, I would start Book 3 of A, and start book 4 of B on Saturday. You may find yourself drawn to finishing one book or the other, and that's okay too.

Read nothing until Saturday and start B is what I would do

I’m set to finish book 3 of a 4 book series (A) this evening. However, book 4 of a 4 book series (B) comes out on Saturday, conveniently the day we fly out for summer vacation. If I start A tonight, I’ll never finish it before Saturday when B comes out.

I’ve been waiting all year for B to come out and was psyched when I found out its release date was my first day of vacation, but now I can’t stop thinking about what happens in book A. I also don’t want to wait to read B!

Help!

Do I read nothing until Saturday and then start B?

Do I just start A tonight? Finish, then read B?

Do I start A, put it aside once B comes out, then resume A once I’m done reading B?

I’m too emotionally invested to decide, so I leave it to you. So, what am I reading?
