- Crime: concerned about increasing crime, do not want someone who wants to "defund" the police
No one, not even Henry Cohen, is running on a defund the police platform.

- Education: have kids in DCPS and want someone who will support the opening of the new high school and continue to work to resolve overcrowding in the elementary/middle school levels as well.
- Income tax: someone who does not support further increasing income tax.
- High density corridors: supports higher density housing/commercial corridors along major avenues like Wisconsin, Massachusetts and Connecticut Ave, but does not want to up-zone single family neighborhood areas.

Duncan wants much more density, except in neighborhoods like the Palisades.
