It's all about pressure. BOE had pressure from politicians to open more sites. The only sites they could expand to in most areas were schools. Schools didn't want voting to happen while kids were still in the building. If enough people put pressure on leadership, it will go back to the way it was.
The way they did it is nonsensical. Takoma Recreation would be ideal for early voting - but it's not being used. SES is being used - while school is in session.
Are you referring to the Takoma Community Center? That is my voting site so maybe you are misinformed.
I think Takoma Rec Center is not being used as an early voting site this year (although it has been one in the last), but if it’s your regular voting site I’m guessing it will be open on Election Day!

what's super annoying is that our school has closed the gym an multi purpose room to the entire school....but there is a perfectly good rec center about 200 yards away that they aren't using....
