I talked my collision people into letting me drive the car until the part came in. It was a somewhat minor repair and they made me sign a liability waver. But it was better than waiting for two months.

I'm betting a hood from a 2020 will also fit, unless it was a major redesign year. If so, a 2022 will fit

If the other party isn't at fault, their insurer owes loss of use. After months, it's more economical for them to just total out the car.

Most body shops are slammed. Everybody forgot how to drive after Covid calmed down a bit. I had to wait a month just to get an appointment at my dealers body shop.

Is Insurance covering the work? I'd start demanding to have the car totaled if they are incapable of fixing it.
