Who makes these rules? Seriously? I have a 45 ft yacht. Not the biggest one and not the best one in the world but still a yacht. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a salon. And we drink beer all the time. Well, my husband does. I stick to tequila. Nothing red that I want on my white upholstery unless we're docked.

On a boat, I don’t drink alcohol.

On land in the summer, a fruity but not too sweet cider or a margarita.

Rose or white wine. Wine in a small drinking glass is fine with me.

Sometimes people offer sangria or cocktails and that can be fun (but I don’t like sweet so I often stick with water or crisp wine).

Are people really so insecure they care what people on an anonymous internet board think? Are they really concerned what people actually around them will think? Why do so many let others live rent free in their head?

Bellinis

Wine spritzer

All day IPA, a Pilsner like Stella and a light bear like Amstel.

Mimosas in the morning and white or rose wine in the afternoon/evening. I do enjoy a light beer at a baseball game. Basically the only place I will order a beer.

My spouse is drinking some kind of craft beer, likely a session ale (lower alcohol, which is nice in the summer) or a G&T. I'm drinking a G&T, or maybe some chilled rose, or something like a mojito. It's also possible that I'm drinking a fruity sour ale, or just as likely that I'm drinking sparkling water or something non-alcoholic.

Me too. It's actually illegal to drink while boating, and DNR/USCG will bust you for it.

It’s illegal to drink alcohol while operating a boat. Not just on a boat.

OP, I’d probably drink a white or rose wine if it’s offered. Or a sparkling water. I just don’t really like beer.

There was a recent thread in the off-topic forum where it seemed like most on DCUM think beer is gross and low class in any setting. The beer in question was a bottle of Corona with a lime wedge, which I thought was a ubiquitous summertime, outdoor "thing". So my question for those classy DCUMs who do drink alcohol, what are you sipping at backyard gatherings, country club pools, beachfront restaurants and bars, or on someone's boat? I find it hard to believe you're opening bottles of chilled wine for all of those activities but I could be wrong!
