I got the booster before attending an in person inside large graduation event. I otherwise would have waited.

That is what I'm doing.

I’m similar OP. 43, teacher. Have done all of the things you listed but have worn a mask during surges. No one in our house has had covid yet. I am baffled.
I plan to wait until the fall to get my next booster. I am thinking of it like a flu shot at this point.

No. I'd be happy to get one, but I tried and the pharmacy wouldn't give one to me because I'm under 50 and not immune compromised. I'm not going to lie about it.

So because you have a hard reaction to the shots is likely why you haven't had Covid yet. You had a robust response to the vaccine. Congrats! I am your exact age and also work in a school and I had very weak reactions to the 3 shots. I got Covid in May, when I unmasked for a social event. But I believe if I had been eating in restaurants/going to the gym as much as you, I probably would have gotten it earlier than last month.

I'm waiting for the fall to get my booster. I'll be outside a lot this summer anyway.

If you’re healthy and 43, then you’re not eligible for a booster.

Yes, I just got my second booster.

43.

I'm not trying to be cocky. I work with kids 5 days a week, who are germy, maskless, and get right in your face. I go to the gym several days a week, have traveled, eat indoors, am social, and still no covid. It's just my reality. I do however, have a hard reaction to the shots.

Would you get a 2nd booster if you're due?

If you are 43 and healthy, I’d wait until there’s a new shot or until you have a trip or something that you specifically want to avoid covid for 6 weeks. That’s all a booster would really do for you.

They promised one in the spring. No booster for me.

Don't get too cocky. I know so many boosted/ double boosted people with covid right now. Even "cautious" ones.

I've been living my life normally for over a year. There's no way I have not been exposed to covid multiple times, yet I have never gotten it. Healthy, no comorbidities, and have had 3 shots.

It's been about 6 months since my booster. If you're in a similar circumstance, are you getting a 2nd booster? I don't react well to the shots and have to plan a day off, otherwise it would be no big deal.
